Rumor Roundup: The Undertaker’s Next Match, WWE’s Plans For Andrade, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Upcoming Plans For Andrade

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning a lengthy (and serious) feud between Andrade and Humberto Carrillo.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Originally, and this doesn’t appear to have changed, the idea was for Andrade to have a longer very serious program over the title with Carrillo as a way to get both guys over as singles Latino stars.

My Take:

  • I see Andrade beating Mysterio in their ladder match. After that, Mysterio will join up with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. I also see Aleister Black joining up with those guys in their fight against Seth Rollins and his new faction. That would free up Andrade and Humberto to feud for the next month or two.

4) Superstar Sent To NXT?

Mike Kanellis asked for his release from WWE a few months ago. This release request was not granted by the company.

Kanellis made a surprise appearance at the NXT Live event in Melbourne, Florida on Friday. This could be a hint that he will be working with the NXT brand moving forward:

My Take:

  • Mike signed a new 5-year contract with WWE before he asked for his release. I am not surprised that WWE didn’t release him. Maybe a run in NXT would be the best thing for him?
