Rumor Roundup: Two Superstars Leaving WWE, Finish Changed On RAW, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Finish Changed On RAW

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan was for the Street Profits and Humberto Carrillo to defeat The O.C on RAW this past week. This would have set up a longer feud between AJ Styles and Carrillo for the United States Championship.

This finish was changed at the last-minute by WWE and The O.C ended up winning. Here is what Meltzer wrote:

The original booking of Raw had The Street Profits & Humberto Carrillo beating the OC with Carrillo getting a shocking pin on Styles to heat up a longer program with the two over the U.S. title. The decision was then made that if the OC was going into a feud with NXT then they couldn’t lose this week on Raw. Since the Street Profits are being protected, that meant Carrillo had to lose again, and with the loss to Rollins in week one and losses to Styles in singles matches on TV and in Saudi Arabia, Carrillo has now started out on Raw with four losses in a row

4) Internal Update On Xavier Woods’s Return

Xavier Woods suffered an Achilles injury a few weeks ago. This forced him to get surgery, which will keep him off WWE television for a long time.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Woods isn’t expected to return until next Summer (at the earliest). Here is what Johnson wrote:

Internally, Xavier Woods is not expected back until the summer of 2020 at the earliest from his Achilles’ heel injury.
