Rumor Roundup: Unique Change Being Made To Summerslam, The Future Of The New Day, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Future Of The New Day

According to journalist Tom Colohue, there are no plans to break up The New Day. This comes after the news of Big E’s singles run.

Here is what Colohue had to say:

There is no concrete plan to ever break up the New Day. There’s always rumors about Bg E turning heel, or this person and or that person turning on the others, including the potential of Kofi turning heel. Now, I have reported previously that there was the intention to have a bit more intensity added to Kofi Kingston leading towards a rematch with Brock Lesnar but it didn’t end up happening because Xavier Woods was injured. The storyline was scrapped before it actually started.”

“That would have still not been a break up for New Day. For just the length of time that they have been together, the fact that they are so supportive of each other, nobody could in the New Day wants to see a break up happen. Big E looks like he will get at least six weeks of Single’s push potentially longer and that is something that I am very excited about. I know a lot of other people are as well.”

My Take:

  • I am perfectly fine with The New Day never breaking up. Obviously, the most heat would be generated from Big E turning on his brothers but I would prefer him to be pushed as a babyface anyways.

4) Kairi Sane Is Leaving WWE But She Is Still On Good Terms

After RAW this week, WWE took to their website to confirm that Kairi Sane is leaving the company. Here is what they wrote:

“Following Monday Night Raw, Kairi Sane took to Twitter to thank her fellow Superstars, WWE staff and the WWE Universe for their support as she prepares to leave WWE”.

Speculation is that Kairi is leaving WWE on very good terms and that the door is open for her to come back in the future. This is because they don’t usually do this type of farewell article when a Superstar leaves the company.

My Take:

  • This would make the most sense after the rumors that WWE doesn’t want her to jump to another promotion. I could see her sticking with the company as an ambassador in Japan or something.
