Rumor Roundup: Upcoming Plans For The Usos, Daniel Bryan’s Possible Return Date?, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Note On Daniel Bryan

According to WrestlingNews.co, people in WWE are confident that Daniel Bryan is going to return to the company at some point.

Here is what the site wrote:

The latest update on the status of Daniel Bryan is that he is resting up at home with his family but people high up in WWE are very hopeful (one official is very confident) about Bryan returning to action.

One person told WrestlingNews.co, “there is no bad blood, no grudge from either side and Vince thinks he will be back but he just needs time to recharge his batteries.”

My Take:

  • I do agree that Bryan is likely going to re-sign with WWE. He has a ton of leverage right now and is likely figuring out the best deal possible for himself.

4) Daniel Bryan’s Possible Return Date?

According to WrestlingNews.co, WWE is hoping for Daniel Bryan to return in time for a big match at Summerslam.

Here is what the site wrote:

“We are ready to have him back in a big match at SummerSlam,” the source said. “Vince loves the guy and he has a full-time job behind-the-scenes ready for him when the time comes for him to retire.”

WWE has been trying for months to get Bryan to sign a new deal. His contract expired just over a week ago after he lost to Universal Champion Roman Reigns on SmackDown. Per the storyline, he is “banished” from SmackDown but the company is open to Bryan working on any brand and that includes returning to SmackDown to pick up his feud with Reigns

My Take:

  • If Bryan is going to work a part-time schedule moving forward, it would make sense to include him at a big PPV like Summerslam. Maybe Bryan will even be involved in the NXT Takeover event on Summerslam weekend?
