Rumor Roundup: Vince McMahon Unhappy At RAW, Backstage Note On NXT’s Re-Brand, More

3) Queen Of The Ring Update

According to Heel By Nature, WWE recently filed to trademark the phrase: ‘Queens Crown Tournament’. This will likely be for the upcoming Queen Of The Ring tournament.

Here is what the site wrote:

WWE has filed a new trademark with The United States Patent and Trademark Office.

On 8/27, WWE filed a trademark for the phrase “Queens Crown Tournament”. The application was entered into the trademark database on Tuesday afternoon (8/30).

My Take:

  • I still think that Charlotte is going to win this tournament. Will give her another accolade and would fit with her Queen character.

2) Vince McMahon Unhappy At RAW (Part 1)

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Vince McMahon was very unhappy with WWE’s original script for this week’s episode of RAW.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

Yesterday was one of the “longest” days in a long time for the WWE Creative team, according to several sources who reached out to PWInsider.com today.

PWInsider.com was told by several that Vince McMahon, extremely unhappy with the original plans for Monday Night Raw, “ripped up the script” several times, including the original plans and then the initial rewrite.

My Take:

  • I actually thought that RAW turned out to be decent. I especially liked the triple threat match involving Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and Damian Priest. Glad that we got to see that.
