Rumor Roundup: Vince’s Thoughts On The Current WWE Product, New WWE Superstar Names, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) New Backstage WWE Hiring’s

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has recently made two backstage hiring’s. This includes George Carroll and John D’Amico.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

George Carroll, who in the past had worked in different roles for New Japan Pro Wrestling in the United States and MLW, has joined the WWE NXT Writing team.  He was at tonight’s TV taping.

John D’Amico has returned to WWE as well, back in his previous role of Director, Production Management for WWE’s live events.  D’Amico was one of those let go by the company in September 2020.  He had originally started with WWE back in 1989 and had been with the company for over 31 years.  After ten months away, he is back with them full-time.

My Take:

  • Good to see D’Amico get his job back after a long career with WWE. I am also interested to see how Carroll does with his experience in NJPW and MLW.

4) Hell In a Cell Betting Odds

BetOnline.ag has the betting odds listed for two matches at the upcoming Hell in a Cell PPV. Those matches are Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair and Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre.

Bobby Lashley is the betting favorite (-320) to defeat Drew McIntyre (+210).

Rhea Ripley is the betting favorite (-400) to defeat Charlotte Flair (+250).

My Take:

  • Both of these make sense to me. I don’t see either belts changing hands.
