Rumor Roundup: Why Ronda Is Negative With WWE Fans, UFC Star Wants To Jump To WWE In 2021, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) UFC Star Wants To Jump To WWE In 2021

UFC star, Colby Covington, was recently a guest on the What the Heck show. During this, he spoke about his desire to join WWE and “make wrestling real again”.

Covington says that he has been talking to Bobby Lashley, Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey about a potential transition to WWE. He also teased that he wants to make the jump to WWE in 2021. Here is what he said (via MMAFighting):

“I would say probably 2021. Next summer, not this summer, but next summer. I’ve been practicing moves and really working on my promo and mic skills and just control and slowing things down and understanding the art of wrestling. I want to make sure when I go there I make the biggest splash possible because I’m not here for a long time, I’m here for a good time and I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money. When I go over there I want to make Brink’s trucks loads of money.

“Everybody knows I do good business, I pull numbers, people want to see me, I’m entertaining, and people are divided on me. They hate me and they love me, but it’s all the same thing at the end of the day.”

My Take:

  • As an MMA fan, Colby is someone who is a natural heel. I would be interested to see how he does in WWE.

4) Roman Reigns Not Expected Back For Months

According to WrestlingNews.co, Roman Reigns is not expected to return to WWE for at least a few months.

Here is an excerpt from their report:

The wrestlers I spoke to all agree that Reigns pulling out of the show was the right decision and one person who is friends with Reigns told me that he probably won’t be back for at least a few months. There is no word on how Vince McMahon feels about Reigns’ decision but it is interesting that the announcers were told not to mention Reigns during the WrestleMania commentary.

My Take:

  • This makes a ton of sense to me. Keep Roman Reigns away until it is completely safe for him to return to work. His health is the most important thing right now and WWE storylines have to take a backseat.
