5) Female Star Also Joining Smackdown?
After The Usos made their returns on Smackdown this week, fans have began to speculate about the future of Naomi.
WWE has done its best to keep couples together during the latest WWE Draft. This includes Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch staying together on RAW, along with Charlotte Flair and Andrade. Since Naomi is married to Jimmy Uso, it looks like she will also be joining Smackdown when she does return to WWE Television.
My Take:
- Naomi would be a great pick-up for the Smackdown Women’s division. The division is lacking a top babyface, so maybe Naomi could build her way back into that role when she comes back? The opportunity is there for her.
4) The Backstage Reaction To The Wedding Storyline
According to WrestlingNews.co, WWE is thrilled with how well the wedding storyline has been doing on Youtube so far.
The company hopes that this will translate to more viewers on RAW next week. Here is what the site wrote:
I was also told that people in the company are thrilled with the YouTube numbers. The edited segment on YouTube has over 3.5 million views and the post-show video has been watched by more than 2.5 million people. They are hoping to see a ratings increase on Monday with the follow-up to this angle and the official start of the Royal Rumble hype. Another thing that should help WWE is that they don’t have to worry about Monday Night Football until the fall.
My Take:
- The one thing that this storyline has done is gotten people talking. I am interested to see if WWE sees a ratings increase on RAW next week. If that is the case, we could be seeing more storylines like the Lana-Bobby Lashley relationship on WWE television.
