Rumor Roundup: WWE’s Plan For The Cruiserweight Division, Notes On Damian Priest, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Backstage Note On Damian Priest (Part 1)

Damian Priest has been absent for the past few weeks on WWE programming. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Priest has been dealing with a back injury.

It was noted that Priest has been dealing with a back injury since even prior to Wrestlemania 37.

My Take:

  • I have definitely missed Priest. He was doing some great work in the build to Wrestlemania 37. I hope that he is able to get back on track when he returns.

4) Backstage Note On Damian Priest (Part 2)

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subcribe here), Damian Priest has been out of action due to some undisclosed reasons. While saying that, he could be available as early as next week to return if the creative team has something for him.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

In an update on Damian Priest’s absence, the time table on Wrestling Observer’s report of a back injury matches up, but we haven’t been able to confirm that. We have heard that he’s healing up, and will be available as soon as next week if WWE has creative plans for him. He was said to have been unavailable the past couple of weeks for other, undisclosed reasons. We’ll work to confirm the information on the back injury.

My Take:

  • I was hoping that Priest was going to be involved in Money in the Bank this year. That isn’t the case as the spots on RAW are already filled. Maybe a feud with Sheamus for the U.S Title instead?
