As you might have noticed, Rusev and Lana did not appear on RAW this week. There was initial worry from fans that he might be injured. It was also thought that WWE creative simply had nothing for the ‘Bularian Brute’ right now. It appears that the reason they weren’t on this weeks show was for a personal reason.

It appears as if Rusev’s Grandma has passed away. Lana posted a photo on instagram with the caption: “A beautiful soul passes this world onto the next. #RIP #GrandmaRusev ☄ you will be @rusevig Angel forever”.

Makes sense that he wasn’t on RAW this week, dealing with the passing of his Grandmother. Sending Rusev and family a lot of love during this tough time. Hope he takes as long as he needs before coming back to action!
