Ryback Rips John Cena and Explains Why He Killed The Nexus Angle

On a recent episode of Conversations With The Big Guy, Ryback had some words for John Cena. Ryback was talking about his time in the Nexus, when he first appeared on WWE’s main roster back in 2010 (as Skip Sheffield). You might remember the group for their beat down of John Cena on RAW and storyline after.

Ryback explained why the plug was pulled on the group, blaming it on John Cena:

“It was not used properly mainly because of John Cena. f****** marks, that’s your headline for the f****** week. And it’s a fact across the board. Everybody knows it and he did not want that to go any further than what it was going to go passed because it was working, because it was eight guys getting over naturally. That’s why. God forbid guys get over naturally.”

He continued:

“that’s what happens when you get a noncompetitive athlete in the top position who’s not used to competing in real life. That’s what happens”

Some harsh words from Ryback towards Cena. After his time in the Nexus, he would eventually be re-packaged as Ryback where he had a fairly successful career on the WWE main roster.
