Samoa Joe was recently interviewed by Helen Yee of Eyes On The Game. During the interview he spoke on a wide variety of topics. One of the more intriguing parts of the interview was when he discussed his relationship with John Cena.
Samoa Joe and John Cena have known each other for a long time, working together back in the early 2000’s in Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW).
Here is what he said when asked about Cena:
“It’s been 18 years, 18 years ago, myself and John Cena had a match and based off that match WWE inevitably hired him, and brought him along and I went my own separate way. It’s been 18 years since me and John have been in the ring together”
He continued:
