Sasha Banks Addresses Critics That Call Wrestling “Fake”

Sasha Banks was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated for their Extra Mustard section. She spoke on a wide variety of topics about her wrestling career inside and out of the ring. One of the most intriguing subjects was when she was asked about critics who call wrestling fake.

One of the biggest misconceptions of professional wrestling is that it is fake and that wrestlers don’t actually hurt one another. If you are a wrestling fan you know that this isn’t true and the performers in the ring take a lot of punishment on their bodies.

Here is what Sasha said when asked about people saying wrestling is fake:

“I think the biggest misconception is that — I don’t know, that I guess people think it’s fake. When it’s not, I get beat up every single week, I go home with bruises, always banged up, but it’s something that I love so much that I just I always keep pushing, it’s what I love. People think that — I hate that, I hate that people think it’s fake but if they got in the ring and they took a bump like we do every single week, legit travel like we travel every single week they would so appreciate every thing we did”

Can imagine it would be frustrating for wrestlers that injure their bodies on a consistent basis and people still think they are ‘faking’ it.

Xavier Woods also had a fantastic response for people that call wrestling fake. You can read it here.
