Sasha Banks was recently interviewed for the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. Sasha spoke on a wide variety of topics about her career. She also spoke about how sometimes fans can go a little too far when they are trying to meet her or get an autograph.
During the interview, Sasha was asked if she had worked on her airport face. This was a reference to some photos of Sasha not looking too thrilled with having to take a picture at 4 in the morning after a long flight. She responded: “You want me to talk about how much I hate being bothered at the airport or hotels?”
Sasha says that she understands since she was a wrestling fan growing up that you want to meet your favorite wrestlers. The problem that she has is with fans camping out at her hotel or airport to meet her
“To me that is stalking. I don’t tweet out what hotel I am at. I don’t tweet out what airline I am flying out. I do tweet you what arena I will be performing at, so I do expect fans at the arena and I am so happy to sign at the arenas. That is fine, because I am telling you where I am going to be at. If I see you in public, that is fine. When I’m at an airport at 4 in the morning and I see somebody with a carry on, and they open it with 100 items of everyone and they are bothering everybody to get an autograph and then I see it on Ebay, that is not okay to me”
She also told the story of how she got flown home on a random day after getting injured. There was no reason for fans to know when she was flying and there was a huge line waiting for her. She asked the fans how they found out she was coming:
“Oh we called the airport and we asked if you were flying in anytime soon and give us a phone call. I go: ‘give me this, leave me alone’. That is not okay, that is private information and to me that is stalking, that is creepy”.
She makes it clear that she loves meeting her fans at the WWE shows or autograph signings. She isn’t too thrilled with fans camping out at her hotel or at the airport.
Sasha also recently commented on her short title reigns.
