Here is how I would book the storyline between Sasha Banks and Bayley from now until Wrestlemania 37. This is strictly my opinion on how I would book it.
Step 1: Bayley Defeats Asuka After Some Help From Sasha Banks
— WWE Summerslam
Bayley will be defending her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Asuka at Summerslam. I would give Asuka and Bayley around 15 minutes for this match. I would tell them to give us a good and physical bout, where they beat the crap out of one another.
This will eventually lead to Bayley winning to retain her title. This will come after Sasha Banks provides some sort of distraction that allows Bayley to catch Asuka by surprise.
From a storyline standpoint, both Asuka and Bayley would be exhausted after putting on a strong match. Sasha won’t want to see her best friend lose, so she will help her pick up the win.
Step 2: Sasha Loses Her RAW Women’s Championship To Asuka (After Bayley Accidentally Costs Sasha The Match)
— WWE Summerslam
In her second match of the night at Summerslam, Asuka will challenge Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship.
I would have Sasha lose the title here. I know that some fans will complain about her having another short title reign but I think it makes the most sense from a storyline standpoint. Plus, Sasha will get her moment later on in this article.
I think that Bayley will try to help Sasha but it will end up backfiring somehow. This will lead to Asuka winning the belt. This drives tension between Bayley and Sasha. It also protects Sasha in the loss because she didn’t lose clean.
Step 3: Sasha & Bayley Retain Their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles
— WWE Payback
Sasha will be upset at Bayley after she cost her the belt at Summerslam. Still, I think that they will work together fine at Payback during their match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Regardless of who they face, I see Sasha and Bayley retaining the belts. We don’t want to rush into them splitting up right now as there are still several months to go until Wrestlemania 37. As a result, I see them working together fine at Payback and retaining their belts.
