We have some interesting news to pass your way about Sasha Banks. Fans have been concerned about her since she pulled out of an appearance on the Wendy Williams show.
Dave Meltzer first reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), that Sasha attempted to quit WWE over the weekend.
This reportedly came after she felt blindsided that she and Bayley were dropping the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
The report says that Sasha thought her and Bayley would be given a long run to help establish the credibility of the tag team division. Meltzer adds that she has been given a few weeks to think about her decision.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful corroborates this story, who says that Bayley was also clearly frustrated by the entire situation. He also says that it is a similar situation to the Revival, where they were told that things would improve.
Sapp also says that from speaking to people in WWE, they would be surprised if Sasha was granted her release.
