Scott Hall On How Much ‘Mr. Perfect’ Curt Hennig Meant to Him And His Wrestling Career

Curt Hennig aka Mr.Perfect was very well respected as a professional wrestler from fans and fellow superstars. Like his nickname suggest, he was smooth in the ring and was a very gifted athlete. Scott Hall often attributes most of his success when he was starting out to Curt Hennig who tagged with him in the 80’s when Hall was starting out.

A great story about when Scott Hall used to tag with Mr. Perfect when he was just getting started in the business.

“And then having him as a partner…Curt did ALL the work. Curt did everything…then he’d tag me, I’d make the comeback, I’d pin the guy. It got to the point where it was so ridiculous that uneducated fans would go, ‘Hey Hall…get rid of Hennig, man! Get a new partner – he’s holding you down’………They had no idea I’d be lost without him.”

On how much he meant to him and the wresting business:

“God I miss you Curt. You impacted this business like nobody else has. You made me better, you made Shawn Michaels better – everybody who crossed paths with you got better.
Thank you for everything you taught me, Curt.”

Was recently watching a Mr. Perfect match on the WWE Network and wow was he incredible. Awesome to hear some of the backstory of how much he helped Scott Hall. You can tell that he meant a lot to him on a personal and professional level. I loved the story about the fans trying to tell him Mr. Perfect was holding him back after he carried him in matches and let Scott Hall pick up the win.

I really think Mr. Perfect is underrated and he is one of the most talented guys to ever lace up a pair of boots!
