Last night on RAW, the WWE Universal Championship was announced by Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley. The number 1 draft choice of RAW Seth Rollins received an automatic bid at Summerslam to wrestle for the title. Finn Balor was determined as his opponent after he had to defeat Rusev, Kevin Owens and Cesaro earlier in the night in a fatal 4-way. He followed that up by defeating Roman Reigns in the main event of RAW. Not a bad way for Finn Balor to start his main roster career and not a bad start to RAW’s new ERA!

The WWE first posted this video of Seth backstage watching the Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns match. Balor picked up the win and Seth looked like he was taking some mental notes on his Summerslam opponent.

Pretty excited personally for Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins at Summerslam. Should be an incredible match and a lot of fun!!! Did not expect to see Finn beat Reigns last night so I was certainly shocked! Should be an incredible match!

It’s to bad that he won’t win. Stephanie has made it clear that she wants Seth as her champion. That’s just bad all wrong.
