Shawn Michaels was recently a guest on the El Brunch de WWE show. During this, Shawn was asked if there are any NXT Superstars that remind him of himself.
Shawn ended up naming Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano. He also said that they are both more talented than he ever was. Here is what Shawn said (h/t to Wrestling INC for the quotes below):
“I think Adam Cole has aspects of that, I think Johnny does as well. Once again, I probably… it’s nothing new, but very similar qualities, I think both Adam and Johnny have similar qualities in their style, and the way they work, that I did.
“I just think they’re both more talented than I was, and more charismatic in some respects, as well.”
Shawn also had this to say about Adam Cole on a recent episode of The Bump:
I certainly see what everybody is talking about. He’s unbelievably talented, he’s charismatic. And so yes, I do, I see…I certainly see the comparisons.
