Shinsuke Nakamura made his main roster debut on the Smackdown Live after Wrestlemania 33. One month later, WWE fans still haven’t seen him wrestle a match on television. Nakamura has been wrestling dark matches over the past several weeks against Dolph Ziggler after Smackdown goes off the air.

At the Payback pay-per-view, we got official confirmation for when Nakamura’s in-ring debut will take place.
Michael Cole announced that Nakamura will be making his in-ring debut at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view on May 21st. It appears as if WWE is saving his in-ring debut for a big moment. It isn’t confirmed, but we can assume the match will be against Dolph Ziggler, who he has been feuding with for the past several weeks.

It is about time. Nakamura and Ziggler will likely tear the roof off the place! Can’t wait to see the match. The Chicago crowd will be crazy for it!
