Smackdown 900 Gets Massive Viewership Boost

Smackdown 900 was a very special episode this week. Not only was it the 900th episode in Smackdown history, it also featured the returns of the Undertaker and Edge. As a result, viewership numbers for this weeks episode went through the roof.

According to Showbuzzdaily.com, Smackdown 900 drew 2.725 million viewers. This is a MASSIVE increase from last weeks taped show, that drew under 2 million viewers. It also shows a massive jump from 2 weeks ago, which drew 2.187 million viewers. The latter is around the number that Smackdown has been averaging for the past several months.

The show was expected to get a ratings boost for being such a special episode. The Undertaker proclaimed that he was back, indicating that he should be around the Smackdown brand a lot more moving forward. This certainly will help with the viewership numbers heading into Wrestlemania season.

In comparison, RAW drew 2.876 million viewers this week for the go-home show of Survivor Series!
