The men’s team for RAW is set at Survivor Series. Kurt Angle will lead Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and Jason Jordan. They will take on Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and a wrestler that is still to be determined. It originally looked like it would be AJ Styles, but after he won the WWE Title, he will be facing Brock Lesnar.
Let’s speculate on who could be the 5th member of Team Smackdown Live at Survivor Series.
– Jinder Mahal just lost the WWE Championship. Would make sense for him to fill this spot. I can’t see WWE having Jinder doing nothing at the event.
– John Cena was originally rumored to be the referee of Jinder vs Brock. Now that the match is off, maybe he joins the match as the final member? Wouldn’t really make sense storyline wise but would be a big name for the match.
– Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn both don’t have spots on the Survivor Series card. Maybe Shane recruits one of them out of necessity? Shane has been clear that he doesn’t want them on the team but maybe his desire to beat RAW will see him use one of them? I can’t see Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens not being a part of Survivor Series in some way.
– Dolph Ziggler or Rusev both have a small chance, even though they both lost their qualifying matches.
– Daniel Bryan gets cleared to wrestle and joins the team. This is a pipe-dream but would it ever be incredible. WWE kind of set the stage with this one, having him get attacked backstage by Kane. Very unlikely, but would be incredible.
– Neville is called up to Smackdown Live and revealed as the 5th member. This is a pipe-dream based on current rumors about his status with WWE but would be awesome. Imagine the rumors of him walking out of WWE were just a way for them to set up his removal from the Cruiserweight division…. One can dream.
