Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and Kane at the Royal Rumble. This will be one of the marquee matches of the event outside of the two Royal Rumble matches.

What will happen in this match? Let’s speculate a little bit.
Let’s begin with the most obvious. I think that most people assume (including me), that Kane is going to be the one taking the pinfall in this match. It makes sense so Brock can retain his title and he doesn’t have to pin Braun to do so. This keeps Braun strong and everybody is happy. While saying this, I think that WWE is going to go a step further in this match.
I think WWE will be using this match to set up Braun’s Wrestlemania feud. Braun will be taken out during the middle of it to knock him out of commission.

So who will take him out? I am thinking that this could be leading towards Braun vs Triple H at ‘Mania. Braun was fired on RAW this week. Later, he was re-hired by Stephanie McMahon in order to stop his destruction. Storyline wise, I am guessing that Stephanie isn’t too pleased with Braun destroying her show and could send Triple H after him. Also, we have already seen this teased at Survivor Series when Braun beat up Triple H to close the show.
If they do go this route, Triple H could use his trusty sledgehammer to even the odds against Braun on the build to the match. He could also use some NXT stars to help him out.
