Speculation On The Long-Term Plans For Jason Jordan & Seth Rollins As A Tag Team

Monday Night RAW this week saw Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins team up to become the new RAW Tag Team Champions. The unlikely pairing defeated Sheamus & Cesaro in a surprising moment.

Now that we have new tag team Champions, it is time to speculate on their future together. Here are some potential scenarios for their long-term future.

Scenario 1) A popular theory that I have seen from fans seems to be that this could lead to something involving Dean Ambrose. WWE says that Dean will be out for 9 months but this could be a bit of an exaggeration. Rollins teaming with Jordan could be the thing that pushes Dean over the edge for a heel turn. Here is how it would go:

  • Jordan and Rollins show off some chemistry over the next few months as a team. They defeat multiple challengers and they become closer.
  • Dean Ambrose feels like he has been replaced and turns heel on Seth.
  • This would lead to Seth vs Heel Dean at Wrestlemania 34. This would obviously only be the case if Dean is returning early but would make for a fun storyline.

Scenario 2) This will be a short-term team. WWE will have Jordan turn on Rollins after a little bit to solidify his heel turn. I am not sure if this would lead to Jordan vs Rollins at Wrestlemania or if WWE would go with Jordan vs Kurt Angle (which is what seems to be the direction). Regardless, this scenario would see this team only last for a month or two.

Scenario 3) Nothing is planned long-term. WWE decided to pair them together because of Dean’s injury and they are seeing how it goes.

What would you like to see happen? Did we miss anything?

  1. All scenarios are possible and seem on point! I’m going with possibility 3. All the build up has been on Ambrose/Rollins – his injury: unexpected. They’ve been looking for a way to use Jordan. This gives them the flexibility to play with a few storylines and see what fits.
