Speculation On Braun Strowman’s Opponent At Summerslam

I decided to speculate on the potential plans for Braun Strowman at Summerslam. There have been plenty of rumors and speculation about Braun potentially cashing-in his Money in the Bank briefcase but nothing about his potential opponent at Summerslam.

I think that there are two top candidates to face Braun.

The obvious speculation would be Kevin Owens. Strowman technically lost the match at Extreme Rules since Owens was tossed off the top of the steel cage. If WWE does go with Owens again, I think a stipulation could be added. The stipulation would be that if Owens beats Braun at Summerslam, he wins control of the Money in the Bank briefcase. This would add some extra stakes to the rivalry that has been dominated by Braun.

If not Owens, I actually think it could be the Undertaker. This is a match that was teased during the Deadman’s feud with Roman Reigns a few years back. For those who missed it, Braun went face-to-face with the Undertaker on an episode of RAW but ended up retreating. Maybe the match finally happens at Summerslam? Current rumors suggest that the Undertaker will be wrestling at the event. I think Braun could make sense as an opponent and I am sure WWE wants it to happen before the Deadman hangs up the boots.

The longshot scenario would be Braun cashing-in his contract early to participate in the Universal Title match. I am not sure if WWE will go that route though.

My gut says that his opponent will likely be Owens with the briefcase on the line. I wouldn’t rule out the Deadman though. How about you?

Speaking of Summerslam, here are 12 more matches that we think could happen at the event.
