Speculation On The Plans For Apollo Crews After His Injury On RAW

Apollo Crews faced off against Andrade on RAW for the United States Championship. Apollo ended up getting hurt during the match and it had to be called off. Not only did Crews miss his shot at the U.S Title, but he also lost his spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match (which has been officially confirmed by WWE).

I wanted to share my speculation on what I think will happen in this storyline. Specifically, what I think WWE is building towards for Apollo.

I think that Andrade is now going to take the place of Apollo in the men’s ladder match. This would make sense as Andrade beat Apollo in their match on RAW (since Apollo couldn’t continue). This would also make sense as the men’s ladder match could really use another strong heel and Andrade fits that criteria.

After Money in the Bank, I see the feud between Andrade and Apollo continuing. My guess is that Andrade, Austin Theory, and Angel Garza will attack the injured leg of Apollo on an upcoming episode of RAW. This will help generate heel heat for the trio. It will also help generate sympathy for Apollo, which seems to be WWE’s goal.

This will eventually lead to a rematch between Apollo and Andrade for the United States Championship. That is where I see Apollo beating Andrade to win the belt. This will be a great moment for Apollo and I think that fans will be more invested in him as a character by this point. It sucks that Apollo won’t be in the ladder match but this could turn out to be the best thing for him.

What do you think the plans for Apollo will be? Let me know in the comment section below.
