Sami Zayn won the Intercontinental Championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV. This came during his handicap match (with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro) against Braun Strowman. Since Zayn picked up the pinfall victory, he won the Intercontinental Championship.
After the match, there has been a lot of speculation about what the plans will be for Sami and the Intercontinental Title at Wrestlemania 36. I wanted to share my speculation on what I think will happen.
I see WWE doing a multi-person, ladder match at the event for the Intercontinental Title. My guess is that it will be Sami Zayn vs Braun Strowman vs Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus vs King Corbin vs Elias.
There are a ton of guys on the Smackdown roster who I don’t think will be missing the Wrestlemania card. Strowman, Bryan, and Sheamus are three of those names. Plus, King Corbin and Elias just started a feud on Smackdown and I could definitely see them getting added into the match. I think that this would make for a really strong ladder match at the event.
I have seen some people suggest Sami Zayn vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Cesaro. That would be a solid choice but I think that it is too soon for them to split up. As a result, I am going with a multi-person match at the event instead.
