One of the storylines on Smackdown Live right now has to do with The Miz and Shane McMahon. Over the past few weeks, The Miz has been pitching Shane to become full-time tag team partners. The Smackdown Commissioner doesn’t seem to be buying it.
So where is this storyline heading? Let’s speculate a little bit.
A few months ago, some rumors suggested that we could be getting a Shane McMahon heel turn. Shane winning the WWE World Cup after inserting himself into the tournament late seemed to be the first sign that heel Shane was coming.
The feeling that I have is that this storyline with the Miz will end up completing the turn from Shane. From the way that the storyline is going, it seems like Shane is eventually just going to attack the Miz. This would turn Miz into a full-blown babyface, which is something that WWE has been testing at recent live events.
The end goal of this seems to be a potential match between Shane McMahon and the Miz at Wrestlemania 35. Let’s face it, Shane has competed in the last couple Wrestlemania events and he is probably going to be competing at Wrestlemania 35. Shane vs Miz seems like the long-term plan for this storyline.
