This week on Smackdown Live, Aiden English released some video footage of what happened with Lana in Milwaukee. While in a hotel room together, Lana said “I want you,” to Aiden. The video ended quickly and Aiden would go on to say that he had an offer from TMZ for the rest of the footage.
Let’s speculate on what is next for this storyline.
Let’s start with the obvious…
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Aiden cut the video off early here. Lana was probably just going to say “I want you to stop teaming with Rusev as you are holding him back” or something like that. The editing job was a way to make Lana look bad and build some tension between her and Rusev. It clearly worked from what we saw on Smackdown this week.
So where do we go from here?
The next week or two will probably be Lana attempting to explain herself to Rusev that the video isn’t telling the full story. I think that Aiden is going to keep stirring the pot and maybe release another piece of footage where she says something else bad (but out of context). This will keep the tension going for a few more weeks.
The end result
Eventually, Lana will find the full footage and show Rusev that it isn’t as bad as it seems. This will more than likely lead to a PPV match between Rusev and Aiden English over the next month or two.
