Kevin Owens was fired last week on Smackdown Live by Shane McMahon. This came after Owens was the special guest referee for the match between Shane and Chad Gable.
We have a spoiler to pass your way about Owens’ future in WWE after getting fired.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Owens will be appearing on the debut episode of NXT on the USA Network. Here is what Johnson said about Owens (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):
“The expectation is that Kevin Owens will be in Orlando this week on September 18th and he will appear for the NXT brand. Whether he’s there for a short period of time or it’s a long-term thing I don’t know, but the expectation is that Owens will be part of the Wednesday NXT episode on September 18th.”
It is worth noting that Owens has also been removed from the Smackdown roster on WWE’s website.
