STING TELLS US HIS WRESTLEMANIA 32 OPPONENT IF HE WASN’T INJURED

There had been a lot of speculation prior to Sting’s injury at Night of Champions if he would face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 as his retirement match. This would have placed the two longest running guys from WWE and WCW in a match up of legends. It looks like this was the plan for both Sting and Undertaker prior to his injury. Sting recently spoke with WWE.com and talked about what his role at WrestleMania 32 was suppose to be.

If he would be wrestling at Wrestlemania 32 if he wasn’t injured:

“Oh no, it’s an easy one to answer: Yes. If I had my way, yes, of course. I would have loved to have done one more WrestleMania and I would have called it quits at that point. The Undertaker match — that’s what I wanted to do”

Before his injury were there plans set for WrestleMania 32 with Sting vs the Undertaker:

“Yes, it was in my mind, of course, but everyone knew that I definitely wanted to have that one match. And, of course, WrestleMania would have been the place to do it. But, I got hurt and the rest is history”

Interesting for sure. It is too bad he got hurt because I would have loved to see this! Even though they both have gotten significantly older, it would still be an iconic moment to witness. Maybe even a double retirement match of some sort.
