A noticeable absence in the RAW Tag Team division over the past few weeks has been AOP (formerly known as the Authors of Pain). The duo has missed the past few episodes of Monday Night RAW.
We have some bad news to pass your way.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), their absence is injury related.
Meltzer says that Akam is believed to be dealing with a leg injury. It is unclear what exactly the injury is but the feeling is that it will keep him out for a few months.
That seems to hint that AOP will not be involved at Wrestlemania 35.
My Take: If it was up to me, I would put AOP back with Paul Ellering when Akam is fully healed. This could be a great opportunity to hit the reset button for them. I think they have the potential to be a great team on the WWE main roster but they need to be booked better.
