The Rock was recently a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. During the interview, Kimmel mentioned that the rivalry between the Rock and John Cena in WWE wasn’t real. He was corrected by the Rock, who said that they did have some real issues with one another.
Here is what the Rock said:
“In the world of wrestling, as you guys know, it’s fictionalized, it’s a TV show. But we had our rivalry, and now we can look back on it, it was so real. Like, we had real problems with each other. We had real issues with each other.”
While saying that, the Rock says that they are now really close:
“Now… he’s one of my best friends. We talk all the time, I’m rooting for him to win.”
Kimmel joked that they are like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird from the NBA. For non-basketball fans, both guys had a great rivalry in their careers and later became good friends.
