I wanted to pass along a theory that has come up in regards to the WWE Championship. One of our readers (@dillon_bobbitt), suggested an interesting match for the Hell in a Cell PPV.
The theory starts with the WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston at Clash of Champions.
During this match, it would make sense for the Revival to try and help Orton win the Title. This will cause the rest of the New Day to come to the ring to help out Kofi Kingston.
This could force the WWE Championship match to end in another disqualification or a count-out. I know that fans weren’t thrilled about that last-time but it might be necessary to set up a third match between them at Hell in a Cell. They could even deem it a no-contest due to all of the commotion going on.
This would lead a 6-man, Hell in a Cell match at the Hell In a Cell PPV. It would be Orton and the Revival vs the New Day. This would also be a ‘winner takes all’ match with both the WWE Championship and the Smackdown Tag Team Championships on the line.
I originally predicted that it would be Orton vs Kingston in a Hell in a Cell match but this could be another interesting way to go.
