7) Rey & Dominik Mysterio Are The New Smackdown Tag Team Champions
The event featured a match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. It was Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler vs Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Dominik was not able to participate for most of the match after getting injured earlier on in the show. He ended up showing up late in the match to help even the odds.
Rey and Dominik went on to win the match. As a result, they are the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions.
8) Rey & Dominik Mysterio Are The First Father & Son Duo In WWE History To Win The Tag Team Titles
With their title victory, Rey and Dominik Mysterio made WWE history.
They are the first father and son duo to ever win the tag team titles together in WWE.
9) Wrestlemania Backlash Featured….. Zombies
The PPV saw John Morrison trying to go into the backstage area. Instead of finding his fellow Superstars, he found zombies. These zombies ended up serving as the Lumberjacks for The Miz’s match against Damian Priest.
That was certainly not what I was expecting.
