Triple H was recently a guest on the Wrestling Compadres Slamcast presented by Fox Sports. During the interview he spoke about the rumored WWE Women’s Tournament that could be taking place in a similar fashion to what WWE just did with the UK Championship Tournament.

During the podcast, Triple H says that a Women’s Tournament is one of his big passions. He says that things are always changing in WWE and the most important thing is finding the proper place for it to happen.
The UK Championship Tournament fit in great because of the time period off between the Royal Rumble. The key for the WWE Women’s Tournament will be making sure they get the right time for it.
He also goes on to say that the plans for the WWE Women’s Tournament right now is that it will hopefully take place in the Summer of 2017. He says that they are going to scour the globe and try to find the best talent in the world like they did with the Cruiserweight’s.

A pretty exciting revelation from Triple H. Before it was just rumors but it looks like it will be becoming a reality. Both the Cruiserweight Classic and UK Championship Tournament were great successes and there is no doubt that a tournament featuring some of the best female talent will do the same.
