There have been numerous rumors circulating over the past week or so that Nikki Bella could be retiring after Wrestlemania 33. Nikki returned several months ago from a neck injury that almost ended her career. She has performed on a regular basis on Smackdown Live.

There were some rumors going around that Nikki would possibly be teaming with her real-life boyfriend John Cena at Wrestlemania against the Miz and Maryse. This would mark the final match of her career and she wanted to end it with Cena.
Pro Wrestling Sheet has put out a report that says she isn’t retiring after Wrestlemania 33, she is just going to be taking some time off.
Their report says that Nikki has been dealing with a lot of pain in her neck due to her previous injury. The time off will be able to help with that.

Our take: This is a smart decision in my eyes. Let Nikki heal up and not risk permanent damage to herself after her WWE career is over. She has a lot going for her outside of the ring and she doesn’t need to risk wrestling at a full-time schedule.
Neck injuries aren’t something to mess with!
***Update: On Talking Smack this week, John Cena said: “Recently, she’s been feeling tingles down her arm and I get concerned for that.”
