WWE did not air a new episode of 205 Live after Smackdown this week. This was odd as rumors suggested that 205 Live would be airing new episodes after Smackdown every Friday.
This also had fans wondering if the show is being canceled. This comes after WWE recently renamed the Cruiserweight belt to the ‘NXT Cruiserweight Championship’.
We have an update for you on the future of 205 Live.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, 205 Live is NOT canceled. Things will be going back to normal next week, which means a new episode after Smackdown. Here is what Johnson wrote about what happened this week:
The decision was made this afternoon to not broadcast a new episode of 205 Live.
We are told that WWE made the decision to focus on the FOX Smackdown debut and things will return to normal next week.
The Cruiserweights were brought to Smackdown and had been preparing their matches tonight when the word came down from management.
