News recently broke that FOX had acquired the rights to Smackdown Live in a billion dollar deal with WWE. There has been some buzz that the show could be moving back to Friday night’s and many wondered if the show would be taped again.

According to a report from the Wrap, Smackdown is still expected to move to Friday nights once it moves to FOX in 2019. They can confirm that Smackdown will be staying LIVE even with the move to Friday.
The report says that WWE is expected to shift around their house show schedule since they usually do non-televised shows on Friday night. Also, the official announcement of Smackdown to FOX is expected to be made as early as next week.
