Update On When The WWE Found Out About Roman Reigns Failing The WWE Wellness Policy

Update On When The WWE Found Out About Roman Reigns Failing The WWE Wellness Policy.

Much has been made about the recent suspension of Roman Reigns for failing the WWE’s wellness policy. As you likely have heard by now, Roman Reigns has been suspended for 30 days by the WWE. We still don’t know what caused him to fail the test, but we have a bit more clarification about when the WWE found out about the test results.

According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on the Wrestling Observer Radio: breaking news edition, we know a bit more about Roman Reigns failing the wellness policy and getting suspended from the WWE. According to their report, the WWE knew about the failed test prior to his Money In The Bank PPV match against Seth Rollins. This would explain why Roman dropped the belt unexpectedly to Seth (and than Dean Ambrose).

This also means that they knew about this upcoming suspension when they booked RAW the next night, setting up the Shield Triple Threat at WWE Battleground. Reigns is suspended for 30 days and WWE Battleground is on July 24th which is 33 days away.

If their report is correct and they did know about this before Money In The Bank, Reigns will likely still be involved in the main event of Battleground.

This has been a lot to take in today and I am still processing it all. I can’t believe this happened the day after we got the news of the Shield Triple Threat. The internet has been on fire with this news with jokes, memes, sadness and comments all day as it has clearly shocked the wrestling world.

  1. Didnt this Dave Meltzer guy report that Reigns dropped the belt because of attendance in house shows.

But NOW he’s reporting he dropped the belt because of the failed test?

So which one is it? SMH

    • Metzler has been the only guy to keep floating as a “pro wrestling reporter” for decades, when he is pretty much a gossip columnist as best.
