Vince McMahon Believes WWE Fans Have A ‘Short Memory Span’

Jinder Mahal was recently a guest on the ‘Talk is Jericho’ podcast hosted by Chris Jericho. He spoke on a wide variety of topics about his return to WWE and his current push.

Something of interest that Jinder said during the podcast came when he was asked about the 6-pack challenge that he won on Smackdown Live. Jinder defeated Mojo Rawley, Sami Zayn, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler to (shockingly) become number one contender for the WWE Title.

Jinder revealed that Vince McMahon always says that “fans have a short memory span”. This was in regards to his turnaround from losing every week to becoming number one contender:

“It’s crazy how things can change like that and, like, I would always hear Vince say, ‘fans have a short memory span,’ so let’s see”

He also says that he learned he would be becoming number one contender for the WWE Title the day of the show:

“It’s all about momentum and that one big win. I had heard the day before.  Coincidentally, they’re like, ‘oh, you’re in a six-pack challenge match.’ I was like, ‘oh, who’s in it?’ I said, ‘like, Corbin?’ And they were like, ‘no, Corbin’s not in it.’ I was like, ‘really?’ They were like, ‘no, you’re working Randy next.’ I was like, ‘what? Really?’ So I talked to Randy later and he was like, ‘yeah, yeah.’ But I was like, ‘things can change like they always do,’ so I was like, ‘we’ll see when we get there.'”
