WWE Jobbers Who Went On To Become Big Stars

6) AJ Styles

Before the ‘Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles electrified the WWE Universe in 2016, he wrestled for the company 14 years prior. In 2002, AJ Styles wrestled two matches for WWE. In January of 2002, he wrestled a match on WWE Jakked against the Hurricane: Shane Helms. He also wrestled in a dark match prior to an episode of Smackdown in the same year against Rico Constantino.

Both matches were in losing efforts!

Styles was offered a developmental deal by WWE but he refused because he didn’t want to interfere with his wife’s college plans. Styles went on to become one of the best wrestlers in the entire world.

He returned to the WWE in 2016 and quickly made it known to the WWE Universe that he was a big deal. In less than a year with WWE, he defeated John Cena twice and became WWE Champion. Two feats that are not usual for a newcomer.

5) Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy is one of the most popular superstars in WWE history. The charismatic high-flyer is known for his time in WWE as a member of the Hardy Boyz. Jeff actually wrestled in WWE for the first time back in 1994. His first match was against Razor Ramon on RAW. Jeff was only 16 years old and lied to WWE brass by saying that he was 18.

He wrestled a few other matches on WWE TV as an enhancement talent over the next few years. He and his brother Matt eventually signed with WWE full-time in 1998.

Jeff has gone on to become one of the most popular WWE stars in history. He is a multiple time tag team champion and even went on to win the WWE Title in 2008.
