It looks like the WWE is going with a storyline injury angle for Big E and the New Day. The New Day were attacked by Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows on RAW this week with Big E getting the brunt of the attack. The Club pulled E into the ring post groin first before walking away. It looks like they are trying to take out the strongest member of the New Day. WWE.com posted that he is “injured” after RAW.
Here is what they posted:
“WWE Tag Team Champion Big E suffered an injury at the hands of Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson following their match on Raw, WWE.com can confirm. After Gallows & Anderson pulled Big E groin-first into the turnbuckle at the end of a post-match brawl between Gallows, Anderson and the entirety of The New Day, the WWE Tag Team Champion was taken to the trainer’s room. He underwent several tests and medical examinations, but WWE officials did not confirm the specifics or severity of Big E’s injury at this time” (Source; WWE.com).
Big E also commented on twitter:
