Question #2: Can Smackdown Build Back Up Their Tag Team Division?
American Alpha defeated the Wyatt Family several weeks ago to win the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships. Since winning the belts, they have slipped into obscurity.

The duo didn’t defend their titles at the Royal Rumble PPV, even though the event was 6 hours long. That goes to show you where the Smackdown tag team division stands right now in the eyes of the company.
American Alpha after weeks of doing nothing eventually held an open challenge last week:

5 other teams answered and we have a tag team turmoil match set for Sunday. The Vaudevillains, the Usos, Breezango, The Ascension and Heath Slater & Rhyno will try to take the titles from them.
The question is, can WWE build this tag team division up? A good match at the Chamber would be a good start because at this pace, I don’t see the Smackdown tag titles even making the Wrestlemania 33 card.

What do you mean “again” ?!?!. Newer fans like myself have never seen John Cena as champion(until now), much less Cena vs. Orton.
Obvious answer here too… The “new” Elimination Chamber is also directed at us newer fans who ALSO have never seen an Elimination Chamber PPV.
Meaning that Cena vs Orton has happened in the past, in normal matches and for the WWE title.
I know that its happened in the past…. But to us newer fans, we have never seen Cena vs. Orton
I’m not disagreeing at all. I’m just saying for the long term fans, we don’t like the repetition of the same matches over and over again. For them to promote it as “the first time ever” is kind of ridiculous.
Catering towards new fans, I get that. But if they have the Network, they’ll know that Cena/Orton has happened numerous times before
They are not promoting it as the first time ever. If you actually watch WWE then you already know that they are promoting it as them already having a vicious fued in the past. Hell…. They’re even showing small clips of their old matches… On TV.
When was their last match together? Ive been watching for 2 1/2 years and they havent faced off 1 single time.
“First time ever on SmackDown.” I’m pretty sure that’s what the Twitter account said
Did some research.. Other than this weeks episode of Smackdown Live, the last time they faced each other was in 2010. Its going on 7 years since they last wrestled. I dont understand how its “repetitive” and “same matches over and over again” if they havent wrestled in over 7 years.
It’s happened before that’s what I mean
Not everything has to be fit for you long-term WWE fans. They have to cater to us too. Ive been watching WWE for 2 years, & im pretty sure a lot of fans are new too.
