WWE Executive Fired After Wife’s Anti-Muslim Tweets Exposed

The Huffington Post has posted an article which exposes an anti-Muslim Twitter user. We are a wrestling site so we only want to keep this in the loop of how it has anything to do with WWE.

It turns out that this Twitter user is actually the wife of a (now former) WWE Executive.

The story notes that the Twitter user’s husband is Salvatore “Sal” Siino. Siino started working for WWE back in February 2017 as the Senior Vice President of Global Content Distribution and Business Development. Siino was recently fired after his wife’s anti-Islam Twitter activity was exposed.

The Huffington Post approached WWE with their findings last week. WWE eventually released a statement, saying that Siino is no longer with the company and they had no idea about his wife’s activity on Twitter. Here is WWE’s statement:

“No. Now that it has come to our attention, Sal Siino is no longer an employee.”

In unrelated WWE executive news, here is the pitch that FOX made to Triple H, Stephanie McMahon that secured them the TV rights for Smackdown.
