WWE Files Two New Trademarks For Potential New Characters

According to PWInsider, WWE recently filed for two new trademarks. These trademarks could be a hint at some new characters that could be coming soon to WWE television.

The first trademark that WWE filed for was “Shorty G”. By the sounds of the filing, it could be a character coming to WWE soon.

Here is what the trademark filing says:

On 7/15, WWE applied to trademark ‘Shorty G’ for  Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

WWE also recently filed for “The O.C”. Here is some more on the trademark filing:

WWE also applied to trademark “The O.C” for Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network
