Something strange happened on Wednesday. WWE posted a story early in the afternoon about the recent set of tryouts that they held at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Among some of the names trying out were: (Olympic Wrestler) Jaime Espinal and Wes Brisco (son of Gerald Brisco)
The biggest name trying out was Stardom’s: Io Shirai, someone who is considered one of the top female wrestlers on the planet.
WWE posted an article on their website and social media pages about the tryout, with Io Shirai as the main focus. The story was quickly deleted by WWE and all mentions of Shirai have been removed.

So she was at the tryout but something clearly happened that made them pull the story and her involvement. Could it be contract issues? It also could be backlash from fans saying that she shouldn’t have to tryout.
We don’t know right now what happened but something strange certainly went on. We will update you when we hear any more.
By the way, Shirai is incredible and would be a fantastic signing for WWE.
