WWE Issues Statement On The Status Of The 24/7 Title After Gronk Returns To The NFL

The big news broke on Tuesday that Rob Gronkowski (aka GRONK) will be returning to the NFL. He was traded from the New England Patriots and will be joining Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After this happened, WWE fans started to wonder about the status of the 24/7 Championship. That is because Gronk is the current titleholder.

Here is what WWE issued to ESPN about Gronk and the belt:

“Congratulations to Rob Gronkowski, the current WWE 24/7 Champion, on his return to football. Per the rules of the 24/7 title, Gronk must defend his championship at all times in any location. He could be celebrating a touchdown pass from #TomBrady…anytime, anywhere.”
