Where are some of the best places on the web for WWE news and rumors? We have put together a guide for some of the best sources to follow in the world of pro-wrestling news. The goal of this page is to provide readers with some background information on some of the top names in pro-wrestling media. At IWNerd.com, we often source a lot of these names in our articles and we thought that it would help readers out if they could learn more about them. Note: if you don’t care about sources and are looking for the latest WWE news and rumors, check out our top daily stories. This also is NOT a ranking of any sort. We just wanted to list off some sources that you will see pop up in wrestling media. You can rank these names (or others) based on your own personal opinions.

WWE News And Rumors 2020 – The Ultimate Guide

Dave Meltzer

Who is Dave Meltzer? If you are a fan of pro-wrestling, you have probably come across his name at some point. Dave is best-known for his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that he started back in 1983. The Observer comes out on a weekly basis and you must be a (paid) subscriber to read it. The Observer does feature WWE news and rumors but that isn’t what it is best known for. Dave extensively covers the history of a wide variety of promotions, including New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), Ring Of Honor (ROH), Impact Wrestling and much more. Meltzer has written for the Oakland Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, Yahoo! Sports, and The National Sports Daily. Dave also covers Mixed Martial Arts in both his Newsletter and for MMAFighting.com.

As for his coverage of WWE news and rumors, Meltzer is pretty controversial. There are a lot of fans who consider him as the most respected name in pro-wrestling news. There are others who don’t believe anything that he writes. As someone who covers wrestling news, I will say that Meltzer does get taken out of context a fair amount in what he says. Sometimes he is simply speculating on where a storyline is going and it gets written as if he said it as a fact. Regardless of how you feel about him, you can’t deny that Dave Meltzer is the biggest name in pro-wrestling news.
