As many fans know by now, AJ Styles is the New WWE United States Champion. Styles defeated Kevin Owens at the WWE’s live event in Madison Square Garden for the title this weekend. There have been plenty of rumors and speculation flying around about why WWE made this decision.
The biggest rumor was that Owens might be injured and this was WWE’s way to take the title off him before he was on the shelf for a while.
We have some good news to report about Owens.
Kevin Owens wrestled on Saturday night at WWE’s live event in Corpus Christi. While we still don’t know why WWE took the title off Owens, it looks like we can cross off a serious injury from the list of potential reasons.

The previous match that was listed on WWE.com for Battleground between Styles and Owens has been removed from the website after the title change. We will have to see what happens.
